Each of these boots meets specific criteria for soldiers and performs well in the field. The T8 Bifida Boot is a classic military combat boot meant to give support and take lots of abuse. The Bifida boot has big lugs, a sturdy last, and a comfortable Ortholite insole.

The Garmont T8 NFS is built for mobility and comfort when running or navigating obstacle courses. The T8 Extreme and T8 Extreme GTX are built for cold weather climates, featuring insulation and, in the case of the GTX, Goretex lining for water resistance.

All Garmont's coyote brown boots meet the Army's AR670-1 guidelines for wear. The top-selling boots by Garmont to our Army customers are the T8 Bifida 8 and the T8 NFS boot. GARMONT T8 NFS VS. BIFIDA BOOTS

The primary difference between the Garmont T8 Bifida and the Garmont T8 NFS is how they are constructed. T8 Bifida boots feature a VIBRAM outsole with heavy lugs for better stability in rough terrain. These boots are ideal for long patrols and maritime operations. 

The T8 NFS features an athletic design, making it lighter and more flexible, giving a tennis shoe-like feel. These boots are designed for speed, hence the name of the boot, NFS (Need for Speed.) They are multi-terrain boots with a lightweight, high-performance build ideal for assignments requiring excessive walking and highly wet climates.  

HOW TO CLEAN GARMONT BOOTS

We know cleaning your boots is a real pain, but it does help extend the life of your boot. Garmont coyote brown boots are made from rough-out leather and should be brushed with a soft bristle brush weekly.

Use cleaning compounds like the ones in Kiwi's Suede and Nylon Footwear Care kit or just gentle detergent mixed with water. Give your boots a gentle scrub, then carefully rinse away all the soap and dirt. All that's left is to let them dry. We recommend filling them with newspaper or a shoe tree to help maintain their shape while drying.
